I've seen some japanese people act surprised for the way Reimu called Aya in the last chapter, did she addressed her in some particular way?
Just Aya.
As opposed to some variation of “shitbird”, I guess.
(It’s decently rare for Touhou characters and maybe especially Reimu to call people by name rather than e.g. “that tengu” or “you”, and I presume Aya isn’t on the list of people she usually does that with? That said, this manga - Reimu included - seems to use names a lot more than average, whether because of the artist etc. etc. or just to make it work better, given the type of story it is.)

Someone took SoPM's part about divine and vengeful spirits so seriously to the point of making an ask about it, so yes?
(In response to this, which was in response to this.)
Seems we are getting some wires crossed here, and I may have missed what you were trying to say too.
While I argued against the other anon when they seemed to imply that taking down a god was an especially big deal or some kind of balance problem, they were absolutely correct that Kanako and Suwako’s statement in CDS about gods being generally weak to vengeful spirits is a direct contradiction to Kanako’s profile in SoPM where it says they’re generally resistant to vengeful spirits. You can either take it as a retcon or assume the profile was inaccurate or something, but the contradiction is there.
What I meant to say is that it’s obvious and barely worth stating, in my opinion, that the reason Mizuchi can possess everyone so easily is because she’s stronger than e.g. the little wispy guys that Kasen can crush in her hand. But knowing that Mizuchi personally is strong - as if that’s new information from this chapter and not something we knew since she was first introduced - doesn’t explain what Kanako and Suwako said about their general weakness to vengeful spirits.
